This site has been adapted from a human genealogical programme for use with pigeons, consequently you are likely to find
references to human relationships like husband, wife etc. Other oddities may also occur, for instance the human reference to
First/Given Name has been used for the Pigeon Name and the human reference to Last/Surname has been used for the
Owner/Flyer and so these may produce some bizarre looking combinations. When it is possible to correct these discrepancies
it will be done but many will remain as they form an integral part of the programme. Hopefully you will not find this confusing.

Ring Numbers: Over the years both ring number prefixes and records of them have varied. In order to maintain
some consistency the following will be used in this database and should be used in any searches:-

Netherlands – NL, Belgium – BELG, Germany – DV, France – F, and GB for UK pigeons.
When it is known or believed that another prefix was shown on the actual ring this will be indicated in the Notes.
